SHEIKH ABDULLAHI BALA LAU IS HALE AND HEARTY, SAHARA REPORTERS MUST RETRACT FALSE DEATH STORY

The Sunni based Izala Islamic organization in Nigeria wishes to state unequivocally that its national chairman Sheikh (Dr) Abdullahi Bala Lau is alive hale and hearty contrary to the mischievous story published by online medium sahara reporters that the sheikh is dead and social distancing has not been observed during his burial.

Sheikh Bala Lau who is at the moment in Jimeta of Adamawa state for the Ramadan special tafsir that is transmitted live via various media forums without the usual attendance of people due to the challenge of Covid-19 pandemic.

To this end the Izala organization JIBWIS demands that Sahara reporters must retract the malicious story and tender unreserved apology to both the Sheikh and the Islamic organization that is at the forefront in creating awareness on the safety measures against corona virus.

Furthermore the Izala organization demands a written apology from Sahara reporters. Failure to meet the stated demands may attract legal action against the online medium for damages.

Police arrests former Jigawa governor

The police in Kano on Sunday arrested the immediate past governor of Jigawa, Alhaji Sule Lamido. A reliable source told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kano that Lamido was arrested for allegedly inciting his supporters to stop theconductofstate’supcominglocalcouncilpolls. NAN reports that the arrest of Lamido may be connected with a programme aired on one of the Kano local radio stations. Lamido was alleged to have directed his supporters, during the programme, to ensure thatthey win the local governments elections by all means.
