A governorship aspirant in Taraba State on the platform of the APC, Professor Sani Yahaya, has emphasised the need for the state executive of the party to provide a level playing ground for all members during the governorship primaries.

Professor Sani who is the immediate past vice chancellor of Taraba State University, made the call at the state secretariat of the party in Jalingo while declaring his intention to contest for the governorship seat of the state.

He said his declaration was informed by numerous calls from across the state urging him to go for the contest. Professor Sani, who was accompanied by thousands of his supporters, told the party executive that as leaders, they are supposed to treat each and every member of the part equally.

He also urged APC supporters in the state to vote for President Buhari in 2019 again so that he could continue with the good programmes he initiated.

In his remarks, the deputy state chairman of the party, Mr John Maigari, assured that they would be fair to all aspirants.

He, however noted that the task ahead of aspirants seeking for political offices on the platform of the party was to work hard and get support of the majority.
